Advanced Multispectral Line Scan and Area Scan Imaging for SWIR Industrial Inspection

The JAI Wave Series cameras are engineered for high-precision SWIR inspection in demanding and high-speed production environments. The series includes both area scan and line scan cameras quipped with an InGaAs sensor, ideal for machine vision inspection, measurement and monitoring applications.

The area scan SWIR camera (WAA model) features an advanced sensor design with a spectral response ranging from 400 nm to approximately 1700 nm, enabling simultaneous capture of both visible and short-wave infrared image data. It offers a resolution of 1.3 megapixels and frame rates up to 90 frames per second.

The line scan SWIR cameras (WAL models) feature image sensors with large 12.5 μm square pixels for enhanced light sensitivity in low-light conditions and improved signal-to-noise performance. A 14-bit video output delivers 16,384 grayscale levels, enabling more precise detection of material differences and defects.
