Mechanical Process Analysis and Optimization with Thermography

High-resolution thermal IR cameras are a powerful tool for detecting heat caused by internal and external friction in mechanical processes. Capable of detecting very small temperature differences and gradients, even in fast processes, thermal imaging cameras can be used for critical tasks such as monitoring for mechanical wear, detecting formation of cracks, and assessing material strength.

This free online event hosted by InfraTec will provide you with expert information on infrared thermography, friction analysis, practical implementations and IR camera recommendations.

This event also includes a technical lecture from thermography practice, titled "Overview of fatigue lifetime characterization and prediction using full-field temperature measurements" by Vincent Le Saux, Enseignant-Chercheur / Full Professor; ENSTA | Institut Polytechnique de Paris, L'école des grandes avancées.

This webinar takes place on Wednesday April 29, 2026 at 3:00AM - 5:00AM CDT.
